South Korea Adventure Process
** Important Notice **
Please note that the South Korean visa application process is extremely meticulous and the South Korean authorities will not grant your visa unless all your documents are exactly as per list below.
Step 1: Application screening
- Either apply online or contact your agent. If your applying online simply complete our easy-to-use online application form and we will contact you with further details and requirements.
Step 2: Visa documentation collection
Below is a list of documents that you will need to collect before we can process your application.
Visa requirements
- Two copies of your University Degree with Apostille. Please request two sets and keep one for your records or as a backup. Please click here to get more information on how to Apostille your documents.
- 4 x Passport photos (please make sure that all pictures are in colour).
- Criminal Record Check (this must be Appostilled by your local Legislation Office). You will need to send the original plus a copy.
- Photocopy of passport (info page and signature page if not the same as info page)
- Original signed contract from school. (This will be sent to you by Teach Travel Asia once your interview is successful)
- Original signed Self Health check list. (This will be sent to you by Teach Travel Asia once your interview is successful).
Step 3: Scheduled Interview
- Teach Travel Asia will schedule a interview with the school. This interview will be done via Skype or telephonically. Should the interview be successful, Teach Travel Asia will send you a contract on behalf of the school. You need to sign this and send back a copy to Teach Travel Asia via email. Any position will only be confirmed on signing of Employment contract.
- Teach Travel Asia will then send you the address of the school that all your documents need to be sent to via courier. All courier costs of these documents will be your responsibility. Teach Travel Asia is not responsible for any loss of documentation. We strongly suggest you use a reliable courier company such as DHL, FedEx, UPS or TNT.
Step 4: Visa & Payment
- Visa:Teach Travel Asia wil send you your visa number. You need to take this number to the South Korean embassy in your country and applyfor your visa. Once Teach Travel Asia sends you the visa number, you need to apply at your South Korean embassy within 48 hours.
- Payment: Payment will be made once you have received placement confirmation. If you applied online, payment can be made via electronic funds transfer or PayPal. If you applied through an agent payment can be made directly to your agent.
Step 5: Flights booked
- Flights booked: Once your visa has been finalized your flights will be arranged by Teach Travel Asia and details will be sent to you. Schools will either pay for your flights up front or the full amount will be reimbursed to you. Before departure Teach Travel Asia will provide you with a full final briefing with all arrival details and procedures. Upon arrival you will be taken to your accommodation or school.
