Important Notice

Dear applicant, please note that the South Korean visa application process is extremely meticulous and the Korean authorities will not grant your visa unless all your documents are exactly as per list below:

• Two copies of your University Degree with Apostille. Please request two sets and keep one for your records or as a backup.
• 4 x Passport photos (please make sure that all pictures are in colour).
• 2 x Sets of sealed University Transcripts (these are a breakdown of your University modular scores and must remain sealed in an official University envelope). Please keep a set for your records and as a backup.
• 2 x sets of sealed reference letters from a past professor or a previous or current
  employer. The letters need to be in a sealed envelope with the person’s signature over the seal.

• The letterhead including a logo of the organization.
• The name of the organization.
• Recommender’s information including their name, position, contact information (phone number, address, email address and Ink signature).
• Relationship information (e.g. professor, boss.)
• Criminal Record Check (this must be Appostilled by your local Legislation Office). You will need to send the original plus a copy.
• Photocopy of passport (info page and signature page if not the same as info page)
• Signed contract from school. This will be sent to you by Teach Travel Asia
• Self Health check list. This will be sent to you by Teach Travel Asia
• Resume

Only once you have collected all the above documentation, will your application to Korea be processed. All courier costs of these documents will be your responsibility. This does not mean that you have not been approved for our South Korean program. Your application will be forwarded to several Korean Programs with possible positions. Any position will only be confirmed on signing of Employment contract.

• Payment

  Payment will be made once you have received placement confirmation and your visa has been finalized. If you applied online, payment can be made via electronic funds transfer or PayPal. If you applied through an agent payment can be made directly to your agent.

• Transit

  Once your visa has been finalized your flights will be arranged by Teach Travel Asia and details will be sent to you. Schools will either pay for your flights up front or the full amount will be reimbursed to you. Before departure Teach Travel Asia will provide you with a full final briefing with all arrival details and procedures. Upon arrival you will be taken to your accommodation or school.

Step 4: Placement
• Placement Meetings

  Once Teach Travel Asia has approved your documentation and sent it to our partner schools in South Korea, placement meetings will be set up if required.

• Placement Confirmation

  Placement confirmation will be provided in the form of a work contract from the relevant school.

• Start Teaching

  You will undergo an initial training period before finally starting your new teaching adventure
